Funding of these two projects is <br />critical to the success of the ongoing grass roots efforts currently underway in Pahoa to create a <br />Regional Town Center master plan and in Volcano to create a Village Center master plan in <br />accordance with Sections 2.1.3.a., 2.2.3, 3.1.3.b, 5.2.1 and 5.2.3 of the Puna CDP. <br />The funds requested are necessary to contract with professional consultants who can work with <br />established community based groups in the task of translating community visions into strategic plans <br />suitable for adoption by the County by ordinance or resolution as may be appropriate. <br />On behalf of the members of the Puna CDP Action Committee and the people of Puna, thank you for <br />the opportunity to submit these supplemental requests. <br />Sincerely, <br />"g– Z(— <br />Patti Pinto <br />Chair, PCDP AC <br />Encl.
