Schools (public, private, charter)
Comments in grey indicate a second listing of one comment, as it addressed more than
one category.
Suggestions
Pay for the best teachers money can buy! Model the best performing schools so others can benefit!
start over wih new board members
More selection of classes by students os our kids are prepared to work when graduated.
Continued support of the public, charter, and private are needed.
We have enough schools but they need $ for improvements and the teachers should be accountable for
teaching
very poor system when you graduate kids that can not read or write you should be ashamed
More teachers, more training, more funds. But have heard good reports about Pahoa Elementary
teachers.
need legislative fix /decentralize
X -ing guard at Pahoa Village Rd. & Kaohe Hmstd Rd
Pay teachers more money and incentives and you may be able to attract more qualified teachers. There
is no way good teachers can make a living on these islands with the low pay and lack of community
support /buy in.
Great job being done by the charter schools, the whole public school system need a giant overhall of
administration so the $ can flow down to the ones who teach and the ones that learn, our students in
public school lack in so much and most of it due to lack of funds.
More and better teachers. Well, we need what every community needs.
the schools here look more like prisons, with streets running between them. and what is with putting a
schoolight on the highway? was safety for the children not a concern for the developers and the
parents?
I think most of us know what issues here, need to be addressed.
