<br />NORTH KOHALA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />ACTION COMMITTEE MINUTES <br />MEETING DATE May 13, 2013 <br />TIME 5:01 pm <br />PLACE County Facility (former Bank of Hawai‘i Building), 54-3888 <br />Akoni Pule Highway, Kohala, Hawaii 96755 <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />1. Members Present: John Winter, Hermann Fernandez, Frank Cipriani, Jon Adams, Susan <br />Fischer, Christopher “Keone” MacKillop, Collin Kaholo, Faith Yates, and Joe Carvalho. <br />2. Members absent: none. <br />Also present was Project Manager Rosalind Newlon from the Office of the Hawai’i County <br />Planning Department. <br />3. Public Attendance: Jesse C. Wells, Lynda Wallach and Toni Withington. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS. None. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS: <br />1. Minutes of the Meetings of and March 11, 2013 and April 8, 2013. <br />Minutes of the March 11, 2013 meeting were reviewed and discussed by the AC <br />Members. The minutes were unanimously approved with changes submitted by the AC <br />members. The minutes of the April 8, 2013 meeting were reviewed and discussed by <br />the AC Members. The minutes were unanimously approved with changes submitted by <br />the AC members. <br />2. Posting of documents on the Hawai‘i County CDP Website. <br />Rosalind Newlon, Project Manager, briefly updated the AC members on the documents <br />that are currently posted on the CDP and County websites on a monthly basis, which <br />include NKCDP AC agenda’s, NKCDP AC minutes, and Subcommittee meeting notes. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) <br />PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE & NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION (15 <br />minutes) – Two members of the Public Access, Open Space & Natural Resources <br />Preservation Commission shall provide the Action Committee with a brief <br />presentation about the Commission. This item was taken up after Subcommittee <br />Reports. <br />2) <br />POWER, VIEW PLANE AND EROSION CONTROL SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT <br />AND UPDATE ON LED STREETLIGHTS (10 Minutes) - The Power, View plane and <br />Erosion Control Subcommittee provided a report and update on Light Emitting Diode <br />(LED) Streetlights. Susan Fischer briefly went over her report and submitted it to the <br />Action Committee for their information. <br />1 <br /> <br />
