Mountain View Village Community Plan <br /> Report to PCDP Action Committee 11-13-12 <br /> On Thursday, October 18th we had a Community Meeting at the Mountain View School. There <br /> were 71 attendees and 44 of those people signed up to participate in the process. That was a <br /> meeting for informing the community about the Puna Community Development plan and the <br /> option to create a village community plan for Mountain View. Robin Stetson shared her <br /> experience in getting the Pahoa Plan underway. <br /> We held our first working group meeting on Thursday,November 8th at the Fern Acres <br /> Community Association Meeting Room. We started to discuss possible definitions of <br /> boundaries of the Mountain View Village Center and also those areas which are or could be <br /> serviced by that Village. We determined to seek out more information and meet again on <br /> Thursday, November 28 ', again at the Fern Acres Meeting Room. We deferred selecting a <br /> chairperson until January and I will continue to coordinate our meetings and work through <br /> December. <br /> Mountain View area residents appear to be relieved and happy that there is now an opportunity <br /> for the community to plan for its own growth and future and there are quite a few people with <br /> great skills and energy invested in the process. <br />
