<br />WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />MAY 1, 2014 <br /> <br />The Windward Planning Commission met in regular session at 9:08 a.m. in the County of <br />Hawai‘i, Aupuni Center Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawai‘i, with Chairman <br />Ronald Gonzales presiding. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Ronald Gonzales, Charles Heaukulani, Gregory Henkel, <br />Wallace A. Ishibashi, Jr., Raylene Moses, and Stephen Ono. <br /> <br />ABSENT AND EXCUSED: Myles Miyasato. <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Duane Kanuha (Planning Director), Margaret Masunaga (Deputy <br />Corporation Counsel for the Windward Planning Commission), Amy Self (Deputy Corporation <br />Counsel for the Planning Director), Jeff Darrow (Staff Planner), Maija Cottle (Staff Planner), <br />Sarah Hata-Finley (Secretary), and Melissa Dacayanan (Planning Commission Support <br />Technician). <br /> <br />A quorum was present. Chairman Gonzales introduced staff and Windward Planning <br />Commissioners to members of the public. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – No statements were presented under this section of the <br />agenda. <br /> <br />1. APPLICANT: B2-II EDUCATIONAL TRUST (REZ 14-172) <br /> <br />Application for a Change of Zone from an Agricultural 3-acre (A-3a) and an Agricultural 1-acre <br />(A-1a) to a Family Agricultural 1-acre (FA-1a) zoned district for 3.012 acres of land. The <br />property is located at the end of Ho‘ohoaloha Street, approximately 1,500 feet south from its <br />nd <br />intersection with Ainaola Drive, Waiākea Homestead 2 Series, South Hilo, Hawai‘i, TMK: 2-4- <br />034:046. <br /> <br />The Commission took this item up at 9:08 a.m. with 11 people from the public in attendance. <br /> <br />(SEE EXHIBIT A) <br /> <br />This item ended at 9:18 a.m. <br /> <br />2.
