<br /> <br />LEEWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ACTIONS <br />OCTOBER 22, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.APPLICANT: KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS–LAND ASSETS DIVISION–WEST <br />HAWAI‘I (SMA 15-060) <br />Continued hearing on an application for a Special Management Area (SMA) Use Permit to <br />allow for the demolition of the former Keauhou Beach Resort complex and the remnants of <br />the former Kona Lagoon Hotel facility to allow for the construction and establishment of an <br />educational complex (Kahaluʻu Ma Kai) and related programs, activities and improvements <br />on approximately 22.73 acres of land situated within the SMA. The properties are situated <br />on the west (makai) side of Aliʻi Drive, immediately adjacent to and south of Kahaluʻu <br />Beach Park at Kahaluʻu, North Kona, Hawai‘i, TMKs: 7-8-013: 002, 013, 042 & 043. <br /> <br />APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of the September 17, 2015 meeting: <br />APPROVED. <br />
