Committee members are appointed by the Mayor <br />and confirmed by the Hawai'i County Council. <br />The Action Committee should reflect a wide variety of perspectives and represent a <br />broad spectrum of the community. Volunteers should be community minded. <br />Members of the Action Committee will be asked to: <br />• Guide and advocate implementation of the Community Development Plan <br />• Support & encourage partners to accomplish actions established in the plan <br />• Identify and encourage new potential partners for implementation <br />• Broaden community awareness and build partnerships <br />• Consider long-term and sustainable plans for local and island -wide application <br />• Provide timely recommendations to the County relating to the budget <br />• Receive briefings from the Planning Department on issues related to the CDP <br />• Receive briefings from county agencies on priority actions identified in the CDP <br />www.hinlanningdent.com Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer planningailhawaiicountv.gov. <br />
