NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING <br />SOUTH KOHALA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN ACTION COMMITTEE <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the South Kohala Action Committee in accordance with the provisions of Section 92-7, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes. <br />DATE: Monday, June 4, 2018 <br />TIME: 5:00 pm <br />PLACE: Lily Yoshimatsu Senior Center (Waimea Senior Center) <br /> 67-1199 Māmalahoa Hwy, Waimea, HI 96743 <br />AGENDA <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />ROLL CALL <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: (Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires six votes, and must comply with Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes § 92-7(d)) <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: Members of the public are invited to speak to any items on the agenda. To be recognized, please fill out a yellow request form and submit it to Planning Department Staff or the Action Committee Chairperson prior to the Public Comment portion of the meeting. Comments should be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item, subject to the discretion of the Chair of the CDP Action Committee. <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: The Action Committee will consider the draft minutes of the April 2, 2018 meeting. <br />REPORTS and OTHER PRESENTATIONS: <br />1. Presentation by Pablo Beimler, Hawai‘i Wildfire Management Organization. Hawai‘i Wildfire Management Organization is a 501©3 non-profit organization based in Waimea that serves as a hub of collaborative wildfire efforts across Hawai‘i. Community Outreach Coordinator Pablo Beimler will provide information about the makeup of firewise communities as well as a forecast on the fire risk/outlook this summer. <br /> <br />
