WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 6, 2018 <br />The Windward Planning Commission met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the County of <br />Hawaii, Aupuni Center Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawaii, with Chairman <br />Joseph Clarkson presiding. <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Gilbert Aguinaldo, Joseph Clarkson, Donald Ikeda, Thomas <br />Raffipiy, John Replogle. <br />ABSENT & EXCUSED: Donn Dela Cruz. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Michael Yee (Planning Director), Daryn Arai (Deputy Planning Director) <br />(from 11:04 a.m.), Malia Hall (Deputy Corporation Counsel for the Windward Planning <br />Commission), Jeff Darrow (Planning Program Manager), Maija Jackson (Planner) (from 11:04 <br />a.m.), Christian Kay (Planner), Melissa Dacayanan (Planning Commission Support Technician) <br />(to 10:58 a.m.), and Sarah Hata-Finley (Commission Secretary). <br />A quorum was present. Chairman Clarkson introduced Windward Planning Commissioners and <br />staff to members of the public and went over the procedures for public testimony. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC — No statements were presented under this section of the <br />agenda. <br />1. APPLICANT: MIROSLAV NESKOVIC (REZ 18-000229) <br />Application for a Change of Zone from Single -Family Residential -15,000 square feet <br />(RS -15) to a Single -Family Residential -10,000 square feet (RS -10) zoning district for <br />approximately 23,538 square feet of land. The subject property is located at 69 Nalani <br />Street, approximately 663 feet south of its intersection with Haihai Street, Waiakea <br />Homesteads 1st Series, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: (3) 2-4-021:059. <br />The Commission took this item up at 9:01 a.m. with 6 members of the public in attendance. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT A) <br />This item ended at 9:10 a.m. <br />2. APPLICANT: GHC FAMILY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP (REZ 18-000230) <br />Application for a Change of Zone from Single -Family Residential -10,000 square feet <br />(RS -10) to a Neighborhood Commercial -20,000 square feet (CN -20) zoning district for <br />approximately 22,500 square feet of land.
