<br />ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COMMISSION FACT SHEET* <br />PURPOSE: To advise the department on waste reduction strategies, recycling, litter control, <br />community involvement, and other issues related to the functions of the department, and exercise any <br />other powers related to the functions of the department delegated by ordinance. <br />AUTHORITY: -10.5. <br />APPOINTMENT: -year staggered terms. <br />FULL MEMBERSHIP: <br />SPECIFICREPRESENTATION: One member from each council district. <br />MEETINGS: <br />FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES: Members must file financial disclosures within 20 working days of <br />taking office. Thereafter, annual disclosures must be filed on or before January 31. The disclosures are <br />-91.1. <br />REAPPOINTMENT:Following the expiration of a term, no member may be reappointed for at least <br />two years except for one- and two-year “termers.” <br />QUALITIES: Respected by the community as being community-minded and oriented.
