DATE: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 TIME: 10:00 a.m. PLACE: Planning Department Conference Room, Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite #3, Hilo, Hawai‘i CALL TO ORDER ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 1.Election of Officers 2.Acceptance of Minutes for June 21 2007, July 12, 2007 and November 21, 2007 meetings PUBLIC STATEMENTS UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1.Discussion Regarding Signage for Exceptional Trees a.Committee authority and procurement procedures b.Funding- review and finalize letter to Council requesting funds c.Fabrication, Installation, Maintenance 2.Status of Installing the Tree Signs for the Mango Groves 3.Status on the Proposal to Submit Grant Requests to Kaulunani Council 4.Discussion of the Exceptional Tree Assessment Protocol a.Form to document work on exceptional trees i.Form created by M. ADJOURNMENT Information related to the above matters is on file in the office of the Planning Department in the Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, Hawai‘i, and in the Planning Department’s West Hawaii Office at 75-5706 Kuakini Highway, Suite l09, in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i, and is open to inspection during office hours. Any disabled person requiring special assistance or person requiring auxiliary aid and/or services to participate in the hearing should contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 five (5) working days prior to the hearing so that appropriate arrangements can be made. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County Code} A lobbyist means, “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawai‘i County Code} Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk-Council 333 nd Kilauea Avenue (Ben Franklin Building) 2 Floor, Hilo, Hawai‘i 96720.
