Sam <br />Kawamura seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA <br />3.: None. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS LISTED ON AGENDA <br />4.: None. <br />CORRESPONDENCE/REPORTS/DISCUSSION: <br />5. <br />Director’s Report <br />(attached to original minutes) <br />Director Bell introduced Nelson Ho, Deputy Director and identified his areas of responsibility, <br />which include oversight of Wastewater Division and addressing Personnel issues. <br />COUNCIL/LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS: <br />Wastewater: Mayor signed Bill 245 with concerns. Implications of the passage of Bills 245 <br />and 250 were discussed. <br />The Commission supports the Wastewater Division’s efforts to notify the commercial <br />landowners regarding the exemption removal and the requirement to connect to County <br />sewer lines, if accessible. <br />Director requested all commission members and interested parties to contact Council <br />members regarding retaining the Sort Station funding in next year’s budgets. <br />Hugh Ono moved that the commission support the construction and operation of the <br />Sort Station and its supporting facilities as proposed by the department. Carolyn <br />Witcher seconded and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />
