Motion passed unanimously. <br />3.: None <br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA <br />4.: <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS LISTED ON AGENDA <br />Jon Olson spoke in support of EMC2005-03 Resolution requesting Police Department <br />to designate officials to coordinatethe enforcement of environmental crimes and <br />EMC2005-04 Resolution requesting the creation of a position of Investigator in the <br />Department of Environmental Management. <br />5. <br />CORRESPONDENCE/REPORTS/DISCUSSION: <br /> (attached to original minutes) <br />Solid Waste Division Chiefs Report <br />Lono Tyson thanked Mr. Olson for his supportive comments on the two resolutions. <br />GREENWASTE: <br />Money may have to be diverted from other solid waste programs to meet the more stringent <br />guidelines on the new DOH permits, including a requirement to speed up processing at both <br />sites. <br />SCRAP METAL PROGRAM: <br />ThescrapmetalsitewassurveyedonJanuary19,2005. <br />· <br />Vendorhasmadesubstantialgainsinremovingthebulkofthematerialsovertheproperty <br />· <br />lineandisintheprocessofremovingtheremainder. <br />Boulders will be placed to establish property line and ongoing monitoring will continue. <br />· <br />SOLIDWASTEDIVISIONSTAFFING: <br />Equipment Operator III recruitment is in process. <br />· <br />Tyson will be leaving his position at the County and moving to Australia this summer. <br />· <br /> <br />
