Re: Arborist Advisory Committee
Dear Director Yee,
Pursuant to the Hawaii County Code, Section 14-58 (in conjunction with Hawai'i
Revised Statutes, Section 58-2), 1 am pleased to appoint the following individuals to the
Hawai'i County Arborist Advisory Committee:
1) Leonard Bisel — Landscape Architect
• Mr. Bisel is employed with B+K Design Group, LLC, and is a former
chairperson of the Arborist Advisory Committee.
2) James B. Friday, PhD. - Professional Forester
• Dr. Friday is a professional forester and teach courses in forestry and forest
stewardship at UH Hilo and UH Manoa. He is also a leading expert on Rapid
Ohi'a Death.
3) Bobby Camara — Retired Budget Technician from Volcanoes National Park
• Mr. Camara has a BS degree in Tropical Agriculture and is passionate about
protecting and preserving native Hawaiian plants.
4) Carol Wyban - Retired businesswoman, CFO of High Health Aquaculture
• Ms. Wyban has a life long love for trees. She's a hiking enthusiast and
enjoys visiting national parks and gardens in the US and abroad to see the
trees.
5) Jonathan Sudler — Vice President of the Outdoor Circle
• Mr. Sudler is an account executive and events producer with Nalu Creative, a
corporate event planner company that promotes and uses sustainable and
renewable products.

These appointees offer a range of experiences and expertise within the various
components of the Arborist Advisory Committee and have expressed interest in
assisting the country on matters relating to the designation and safeguarding of
