PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE FIRE
COMMISSION
The proposed amendments include the following:
• Amendment to Rule 5(B)(1): Changes regular meetings from the second
Wednesday of each month to the fourth Thursday of each month, unless otherwise
specified by the Commission.
• Amendment to Rule 8(a): Extends the time to file complaint from sixty (60) days to
ninety (90) days from the date of the incident.
All persons desiring to express their views, arguments, or submit data on the above
matter may do so by submitting statements in writing to the Fire Commission, two days
before the date of the public hearing. Anyone interested may appear in person to submit
their data, views, or arguments orally before the Commission at the hearing. All written
comments should be mailed or delivered to the Commission at 101 Pauahi St., Ste. 9,
Hilo, Hawaii 96720, or e m a i l ed to Chaiirisse.Cloiiriir iii iii a iit , at least two days
