NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Water Board of the County of Hawai‘i will hold a public hearing at
the West --Hawai‘i on
September 22, 2026, at 9:45 a.m.

RATE CHANGE: POWER COST CHARGE
The current Power Cost Charge of $2.53 per thousand gallons is under consideration for a possible increase to
ower costs recovered since the last Power Cost Charge rate was determined. The proposed Power
Cost Charge will be at a rate of $3.04 per thousand gallons. The approved rate will be effective the first day of
the month after the establishment of the rate by the Water Board.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable
opportunity to provide comments on the department’s proposed Power Cost Charge. Comments may be presented
orally at the public hearing or submitted to the Chairperson in writing by email (dws@hawaiidws.org
