APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MARCH 20 2013 MEETING: <br />Commissioner Bruce Lim moved to approve the March 20, 2013 minutes as written. <br />Commissioner Sherm 'Darner seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously with <br />members resent: Lee, Dill, Dims Nahm -Mij <br />p o and warner voting yes. <br />. APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA: bone <br />4. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS LISTED ON AGENDA: <br />Tint Rees <br />spoke in support of the fallowing Solid waste disposal options for the County: <br />p <br />Waste-to-Energy technology to -to -finer technolo with massive recycling: Experts agree that you cannot just have <br />mass burn; massive recycling with the mass burn is the best solution. <br />- Immediate closure of the South Hilo Sanitary Landfill (SHSL): All types of fluids have been <br />In1m. longer it <br />' of in this unlined and un ermitted landfill that have leached into the ground. CORRESPONDENCEIREPORTS /DISCUSSION: <br />! Director's Report (attached to original minutes): <br />Le ation <br />Resolution ion 31 -13 and Communication 202 were postponed indefinitely at the request of the <br />department to allow further review and discussion with Administration of the county's management <br />of sand waste and handlin g recyclable clable materials before requesting bids /proposals from vendors. <br />�' <br />Mr. Rees noted that the warding for "indefinite postponements" at Council was 64postponements to <br />the call of the Chair". <br />
