OFM4.*, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 698 20 <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW CULTURAL TECHNICIAN <br /> POSITIONS FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & <br /> RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation is requesting to add one (1) <br /> full-time Cultural Technician position and one (1) half-time Cultural Technician position; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the creation of these positions is needed to monitor the Waipi`o <br /> Valley Lookout; and <br /> WHEREAS, the two (2) Cultural Technicians will monitor vehicles accessing the <br /> road and provide natural, cultural, and historical interpretive information of Waipi`o <br /> Valley to enrich those visiting the area; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter states that <br /> the Mayor has the power to "Create positions...for which appropriations have been <br /> made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that one <br /> (1) full-time Cultural Technician and one (1) half-time Cultural Technician position be <br /> created in the Hawaii County Department of Parks & Recreation. <br />
