(5) Structural members that are concrete, masonry or structural steel. <br /> (6) Proposed construction in special hazard flood zones: AE, AH, AO, V, and VE, as <br /> prescribed in chapter 27, relating to flood control; electrical installations per <br /> chapter 51), relating to the electrical code; and plumbing installations per chapter <br /> 5F, relating to the plumbing code. <br /> (7) Structures in high seismic zones. (Category E or Sv> 0.75) <br /> (d) All plans and specifications for retaining walls over four feet in height shall be <br /> prepared, designed, and stamped by a person who is licensed in the State of Hawaii as <br /> an architect or professional structural engineer. <br /> (e) Electrical plans and specifications giving such details of the proposed installation as <br /> may be required by the authority having jurisdiction to be submitted with the <br /> application. Such plans and specifications shall be prepared, designed, and stamped by <br /> a person who is licensed in the State of Hawaii as a professional electrical engineer. <br /> Exception: <br /> For single and two-family dwellings, townhouses and accessory structures, plans and <br /> specifications shall not be required provided the installation meets all of the following <br /> criteria: <br /> (A) The installation shall not be located in a rain water or sea water flood zone; and <br /> (B) Service size disconnect does not exceed 200 amperes. <br /> (f) Installation of photovoltaic systems shall require: <br /> (1) Electrical design drawings and specifications that have been prepared, designed, <br /> and stamped by a person who is licensed in the State of Hawaii as a professional <br /> electrical engineer for residential and non-residential installations; and <br /> (2) Plans and specifications for building work that have been prepared, designed, and <br /> stamped by a person who is licensed in the State of Hawaii as an architect or a <br /> professional structural engineer for: <br /> (A) Non-residential installations; or <br /> (B) Residential installations that do not utilize a preapproved system or that are <br /> not consistent with approved standards including but not limited to, those <br /> relating to span tables, older homes or site-built trusses. <br /> (g) Installation of electrical work on residential and nonresidential electrical work in <br /> special flood hazard areas shall be prepared, designed, and stamped by a person who is <br /> licensed in the State of Hawaii as a professional electrical engineer. <br /> (h) Mechanical plans, included but not limited to plumbing installation and HVAC <br /> installation drawings, specifications shall be prepared, designed, and stamped by a <br /> person who is licensed in the State of Hawaii as a professional mechanical engineer, <br /> and shall be according to State statutes when required by the authority having <br /> 30 <br />
