Ms. Magsalin is a Registered Nurse who retired from the Hilo Medical <br />Center as a nurse supervisor after 20 years of service. Ms. Magsalin obtained her <br />Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. <br />She has been a resident of Hawaii for approximately 35 years. Ms. Magsalin is active in <br />her community and volunteers with the Laupahoehoe Community Emergency Response <br />Team (CERT) and at her church. She is also a member of the Aloha Medical Mission, a <br />volunteer organization whose mission is provide free medical services to underserved <br />communities around the world. <br />Ms. Magsalin states she is a member of the Republican party. If confirmed, she will <br />serve a vacant term to end December 31, 2020. Upon expiration of this term, Ms. <br />Magsalin will qualify to reapply for a reappointment to a full five-year term. <br />Your continued favorable confirmation is requested.
