REQUEST: <br />9/16/2020 <br />PHONE: 808-934-3352 <br />The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney receives a large grant from the Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) to support <br />victim services in Hawaii County; account 010.271.5271.56.115. Through this grant funding source, we are <br />requesting $50,000 be awarded to the YWCA. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The YMCA is the only provider for SANE (Sex Assault Nurse Examiner)exams as well as advocacy both <br />during and after these exams. In addition, they are the only provider of the 24 hour Sexual Assault Hotline. <br />The also provide therapeutic support to victims of sexual assault.
