BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />Oahu Transit Services has ten (10) retired mini buses that are available for transfer to Hawaii County Mass <br />Transit Agency. Buses will be used on our island wide public transportation system to replace routes <br />currently done by our contractor, Roberts Hawaii. This will result in an estimated savings of $20,000 per <br />week. <br />We have previously obtained buses in this manner from the City and County. <br />Hawaii County will cover the costs for shipping the buses to the Big Island. <br />Estimated value of donation is $5,000 per bus for a total donation of $50,000. <br />J <br />SIGNED:rz " DATE: 10/23/2020 <br />Department Head <br />
