Born and raised in Kohala, Diane has been <br /> instrumental in advocating and implementing community initiatives and programs. She was <br /> instrumental in the planning and building process of the resource center on Hawaiian Homelands <br /> in Kawaihae. <br /> Ms. Kaneali'i is a former Nurse Practitioner with a bachelor's degree from the University of <br /> Phoenix 2006. She is also a graduate of the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. She is interested in <br /> serving as a Commissioner to ensure that our coastal and special properties are preserved for <br /> future generations. Ms. Kaneali'i served on the County of Hawaii Community Development Plan <br /> Action Committee, and is a former member, President and Executive Director of Kailapa <br /> Community Association.
