No. 155 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:03 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 155, reports as follows: <br /> Communication 155,transmitted by the Honorable Mayor Mitch Roth dated February 17, 2021, <br /> nominates Diane Kaneali`i of Council District 9 to the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural <br /> Resources Preservation Commission. <br /> Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome came forward to introduce the nominee. Born <br /> and raised on the Big Island in Kohala, Ms. Kaneali`i is a former nurse practitioner with a Bachelor's <br /> Degree from the University of Phoenix. Her community involvement is extensive and includes <br /> achievements toward building the Resource Center on Hawaiian Homelands in Kawaihae. If confirmed, <br /> she would serve a term to end on December 31, 2025. <br /> Ms. Kaneali'i was not present for the meeting; however due to her experience and knowledge the <br /> Council felt confident to forward the nomination to Council.
