COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A WATER POLO LANE LINE COURSE TO THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, the USA Women's Water Polo Team is donating a water polo lane line <br />course to the.County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the water polo lane line course, valued at $5,500, will be used at the <br />Kona Community Aquatic Center (KCAC) in Kailua-Kona; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to USA Water Polo, 6 Morgan, Suite 150, Irvine, CA 92618. <br />J <br />
