REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: April 20, 2021 Re: Comm.No. 200/Res.No. 92-21 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 92-21,reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 92-21,transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna Sako via Communication No. 200 <br /> dated April 1, 2021, authorizes the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to award funds to Child and <br /> Family Support Service. <br /> This resolution awards an additional $10,000 to provide shelter and support services to victims of <br /> domestic violence, bringing the total grant amount to $50,000. <br /> Deborah Chai, from the Office of Prosecuting Attorney briefly provided background on this resolution. <br /> Their office had extra grant money that needed to be spent and they wish to award it to Child and Family <br /> Services to support their shelter. <br /> Pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, grant awards in <br /> excess of$25,000 to nonprofit organizations shall specifically identify the organization receiving the <br /> grant funds and the purpose for which the grant funds shall be used in an ordinance or resolution. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 92-21, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> ssc <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> INABA X <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X <br /> KIMBALL x MATT KANEALI`I- < INFELDER, CHAIR <br /> LEE LOY X <br /> RICHARDS X FC REPORT NO.: 39 <br /> VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: MAY 0 5 2021 <br />
