COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING THE FUNDING SOURCE OF ONE (1) <br />ACCOUNTANT I POSITION <br />WHEREAS, in 2019, the State of Hawaii, Department of Health <br />Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch, through an <br />agreement with the Hawaii County Fire Department, provided state funding for <br />one (1) position under the Emergency Medical Services Program; <br />WHEREAS, the state funding for this one (1) Accountant I, position <br />number 00-05073, has ceased due to a reduction in grant funding; and <br />WHEREAS, this position is critical for the Fire Department's fiscal division <br />as they are severely understaffed and is tasked with providing island -wide <br />services to the Department and the public; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />that the County will continue to fund the Accountant I position (Position No. 00- <br />05073). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds should be available in the <br />various regular salaries and wages accounts of the Fire Department for this <br />position. <br />
