SA.- <br /> that there is a need to advocate for additional monies to come to the counties via the state <br /> and CM Kimball offered to draft a letter to leadership from HSAC. Motion to submit a <br /> statement from HSAC to state legislative leadership urging the state to work with the <br /> counties to ensure equitable distribution of the new ARPA funding to all the counties. <br /> Motion was approved with four(4) ayes. <br /> NACo is tracking large federal infrastructure bill. Liz Archuleta,Director of the Office of <br /> Intergovernmental Affairs at USDA gave a presentaion and is available to speak with <br /> counties on agriculture issues. Presentation from Department of Interior highlighting the <br /> President's Civilian Climate Corps and noting there is money in the Great American <br /> Outdoors Act that is underutilized. The is a pre-disaster mitigation grant from FEMA that <br /> is open for applications. <br /> V. NEW BUSINESS (20:55, second recording) <br /> A. Report from HSAC Lobbyist Mr. Jon Okudara on legislative measures and activities. <br /> The following were discussed: Bills HSAC supports: HB160 and HB161. Motion for Mr. <br /> Okudara to submit an amendment to HB 160 was approved with no objections. A bill <br /> that HSAC opposes is HB321 HD1 SD1 was discussed in length. Other Bills discussed: <br /> HB497 HD1, HB1176. <br /> Motion to accept report was passed with no objections. <br /> B. Communication from Jade K. Fountain-Tanigawa, County Clerk, County of Kaua`i, <br /> transmitting Kauai County Resolution No. 2021-10. Approving the Hawai`i State Association of <br /> Counties' Officers for Fiscal Year 2021. <br /> C. Communication (02/11/2021) from Glen I Takahashi, County Clerk, transmitting City <br /> and County of Honolulu Resolution No. 21-38. Approving the Hawai`i State Association <br /> of Counties' Officers for Fiscal Year 2021. <br /> D. County of Hawai"i Resolution No. 49-21, Aproving the Hawaii State Association of <br /> Counties' Executive Committee Slate of Officers, for Fiscal Year 2021. <br /> A motion to approve B, C and D was made and passed with 4 ayes. <br /> E. Request from CM King to discuss HSAC website(s) and reimbursement of website fees. <br /> A motion was made and passed with no objections to reimburse a former Maui County <br /> employee for HSAC Website fees pending an invoice from said ex-employee and approval <br /> from the HSAC auditor. <br />
