oJNyY of.14 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAIII <br /> +r�o8•N�+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 302 22 <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW TEMPORARY <br /> POSITIONS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii was awarded federal funding from <br /> the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations through the Workforce <br /> Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA); and <br /> WHEREAS, the creation of two (2) new, temporary positions are <br /> needed to support these programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are an Economic <br /> Development Specialist II (Temp), SR-22, and an Economic Development <br /> Specialist III (Temp), SR-24, that will be funded through the WIOA grant; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions...for which <br /> appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that one (1) Economic Development Specialist II (Temp) and one <br /> (1) Economic Development Specialist III (Temp) position be created in the <br /> Department of Research and Development. <br />
