Should unanticipated archaeological finds be discovered in <br /> conjunction with any further development of the site, work will stop (as <br /> is required by the State and County protocols) and clearance secured <br /> before work is resumed. <br /> There is no existing drainageway on the property. Any and all <br /> required grading or grubbing work will be done in conjunction with the <br /> required permits and/or a SCS Agricultural Plan. This is to assure that <br /> the development of this site does not adversely affect the drainage of <br /> surrounding properties. <br /> Finally, there will be no person or businesset to be dislocated by this <br /> project, <br /> D. Alternatives to the Proposed Proiect <br /> 1. No Project <br /> Under the status quo alternative, the site would continue with <br /> its agricultural use with a B&B. Under that scenario and given <br /> the Applicants' stage in life, those uses may not continue very <br /> long. There may be a gradual diminution of agricultural <br /> activities. Furthermore, the Applicants would not be in a <br /> position to fulfill its estate planning in a manner that would be <br /> generally consistent with the agricultural and housing objectives <br /> of county plans. <br /> 9, Alternative Density <br /> Under this alternative, the applicant could seek a more <br /> intensive zoning, such as FA-1a-given the proximity of the site <br /> to urban uses like Papaikou. <br /> Such an approach, however, may not be compatible with the <br /> policy of trying to foster more family-oriented type of agricdtural <br /> activities, such as truck crops or cottage farming in this area in <br /> a manner carrsistent with the area's infrastructure. <br /> 3, Evaluation of Alternatives <br /> The project's impacts to the area's sodal and physical <br /> infrastructure would not be pronounced.
