The grant will be used towards a 4th of July fireworks <br /> display as part of the 2022 Hilo Bay Blast celebration on July 4, 2022. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide <br /> $49,000 to Destination Hilo, pursuant to Hawaii County Code (2016 Edition as <br /> amended) Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A). <br /> The Department of Parks and Recreation requests that this resolution be waived from the <br /> Finance Committee and be placed on the May 18, 2022 Council Agenda in order to <br /> expedite this project.
