Driveway Entrance: The current sloping driveway to the house lot is <br /> very difficult to see and be seen, so a slight adjustment in its location <br /> needs to be completed for the safety of ingress-egress to the <br /> residence. A base of gravel will be added to improve the slippery <br /> conditions. <br /> Estimate: $ 8,000 <br /> D. Paint: The exterior and interior of the residence needs safeguarding <br /> through repainting as the paint is peeling and in poor condition. The <br /> residence is constructed of redwood and has been inspected by a <br /> structural engineer who found the "bones" of the home in good repair. <br /> Restoration of this historic home where Amy Greenwell lived will result <br /> in a multi-use facility that is an asset to the community and the Garden. <br /> Termite damage occurred, so tenting of the residence was recently <br /> completed. We show this as `other resources' match in our budget <br /> detail. <br /> Exterior Painting Estimate: $7,000 <br /> Interior Painting Estimate: $10,120 <br /> E. Replace non-function sliding glass doors, windows, and termite <br /> damaged wooden floors throughout the residence. <br /> Estimate: $ 4,500 <br /> F. Flooring: Linoleum flooring is damaged throughout the residence and <br /> needs to be removed and replaced. Estimate: $ 7,750 <br /> G. Kitchen Cabinets and Counters: The existing cabinets have been in <br /> the home since it was built. They are in poor condition and have <br /> substantial termite damage. As part of restoration and stabilization efforts, tenting is proposed <br /> for the Visitor Center (Parcel 1) and the Maintenance/Office/Nursery Complex (Figure <br /> 3).
