Driveway Entrance: The current sloping driveway to the house lot is very difficult to see and be seen, so a slight adjustment in its location needs to be completed for the safety of ingress-egress to the residence. Paint: The exterior and interior of the residence needs safeguarding through repainting as the paint is peeling and in poor condition. The residence is constructed of redwood and has been inspected by a structural engineer who found the "bones" of the home in good repair. Restoration of this historic home where Amy Greenwell lived will result in a multi-use facility that is an asset to the community and the Garden. Termite damage occurred, so tenting of the residence was recently completed. We show this as `other resources' match in our budget detail. Exterior Painting Estimate: $7,000 Interior Painting Estimate: $10,120 E. Replace non-function sliding glass doors, windows, and termite damaged wooden floors throughout the residence. Estimate: $ 4,500 F. Flooring: Linoleum flooring is damaged throughout the residence and needs to be removed and replaced. Estimate: $ 7,750 G. Kitchen Cabinets and Counters: The existing cabinets have been in the home since it was built. They are in poor condition and have substantial termite damage. Similarly, the Formica counter tops are in disrepair and need to be replaced. Estimate: $ 9,750 Parcels 1 and 3. As part of restoration and stabilization efforts, tenting is proposed for the Visitor Center (Parcel 1) and the Maintenance/Office/Nursery Complex (Figure 3). We are seeking other resources to fund this, and tenting for active termites is a match, not an amount requested.
