Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden will benefit the community-at-large by <br /> demonstrating that maintenance fund monies can be utilized to preserve the land, promote public <br /> safety, and maintain a healthy stewardship of those properties that have been acquired using <br /> Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation funding; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that <br /> pursuant to Section 10-16(h) of the Hawai`i County Charter,the Council hereby approves a <br /> Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Maintenance Stewardship Grant <br /> to Friends of Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden in the amount of$191,609 to support <br /> the purpose of protecting, preserving, and restoring various properties. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that,pursuant to Section 10-16(g) of the Charter, funds <br /> from the grant awarded by this resolution shall be used for public safety maintenance and <br /> preservation of the Amy B.H.
