These summits will build <br /> collaborative capacity, collect data for network mapping and food system study, <br /> showcase successful projects, and continue the momentum towards building a more <br /> equitable, inclusive, sustainable, resilient food and agriculture system for Hawaii. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawaii, Department of Health for these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an <br /> ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $26,000 to the <br /> Department of Research and Development's "HI County Food Access Summit Program" <br /> account. <br /> The Department of Research& Development requests that this resolution be waived from <br /> the Finance Committee and be placed on the July 20, 2022 Council agenda in order to <br /> expedite this transaction.
