Sako via Communication No. 981 <br /> dated September 1, 2022, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawaii Department of Transportation pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-7, for a <br /> grant to the Office of Management. <br /> This resolution allows for the receipt of$96,000 in federally-derived funds, which would be used to <br /> promote alternative transportation options and safe routes to schools through the Trek the Trails <br /> proj ect. <br /> A motion to amend the resolution with the contents of Communication No. 981.1 was made by Committee <br /> Member Susan L. K. Lee Loy and seconded by Committee Member Herbert M. "Tim"Richards III. Said <br /> amendment adjusts the resolution's language to include the Federal Highway Administration in the <br /> agreement. All members present voted unanimously in favor of passing the amendment with eight ayes. <br /> A motion to amend the resolution with the contents of Communication No. 981.2 was made by <br /> Ms. Lee Loy and seconded by Committee Member Holeka Goro Inaba. Said amendment corrects <br /> technical errors in language.
