REQUEST: <br /> A resolution amending the authorization to award grants through the Kilauea Recovery Grant Program to <br /> non-profit organizations in amounts more than $25,000 per Article 47 Section 2-252(f) of the HCC. <br /> Amend Resolution 743-20 and Exhibit A to revise the fiscal sponsor for Vacationland Hawaii Community <br /> Association to Men of Paa in order to adminster grant funds for a project to survey and develop preliminary <br /> design on the Association's private road network to develop cost estimates and facilitate permitting. The <br /> grant amount is $250,000. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Pursuant to HCC Chapter 2, Article 47, Section 2-246 for the appropriation of disaster relief funds that the <br /> County received, or may receive, for the purpose of providing relief, recovery, mitigation, and remediation <br /> assistance for disaster damage, losses, and suffering caused by the 2018 Kilauea eruption.
