Additional funds in the amount of$66,120 are being <br /> provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Pacific <br /> Southwest Region to be used towards volunteer fire assistance. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawaii County Fire Department's Volunteer Fire Assistance- <br /> Federal account, bringing the total appropriation to $156,120. <br /> The Fire Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the November 2, 2022 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these <br /> funds.
