3 <br /> i <br /> HAWAIICOUNTY OF , a, STATE OF G <br /> i <br /> +f Ma MOW.p� <br /> ATF OF.N}.ti <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. {' 9 9 2 <br /> 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE <br /> I <br /> i <br /> 3 <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> I <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Finance desires to lease approximately 12,571 square feet of <br /> office space situated at 120 Pauahi Street, in Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, from New Kaiko`o <br /> 3 <br /> Building, Inc. ("Landlord")to be utilized by their Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division and <br /> other County departments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Finance desires to enter into a multi-year lease agreement that <br /> is anticipated to commence on or before January 1, 2023, for five (5) years, with the option to extend <br /> the lease for two (2) additional five (5)year terms with Landlord; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Finance is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into <br /> a multi-year lease agreement with Landlord for office space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that pursuant j <br /> to section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five {5} <br /> i <br /> I <br /> year lease agreement with two (2) options for extension for the Department of Finance office as <br /> indicated above. a <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to <br /> cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the Lease. <br />
