REQUEST: <br /> The Department of Public Works is requesting an ordinance amending Ordinance 22-63, as amended, by <br /> adding appropriation to the Operating Budget to appropriate Highway Fund Balance from the Previous Year <br /> to these Highway Fund accounts: <br /> Revenue 020.3609.10 Highway Fund Balance from Previous Year $7,000,000 <br /> Expenditure 020.301.5301.76.230 Roadside Maintenance Svc- Highway Materials $3,000,000 <br /> Expenditure 020.801.5801.34.341 Transfer to Capital Projects Fund $4,000,000 <br /> To expedite the availability of funds, we are requesting to waive the Finance Committee meeting and be <br /> placed on the November 16, 2022 Council meeting agenda. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The transferred funds of$3,000,000 will be used to purchase asphalt concrete pavement materials needed <br /> to repave additional roadways islandwide. <br /> Funds of$4,000,000 will be transferred to CIP and used for the Pauahi Street Bridge Rehabilitation (Bridge <br /> No. 22-2), Job No. E-4393 project. The scope of work includes the reconstruction/replacement of the bridge <br /> deck, girders, and railings. The existing waterline will also be replaced.
