REQUEST: <br /> i <br /> Please submit a Resolution to Council Council, to authorize the Department of Research and Development <br /> to enter into a multi-year lease with WKSP Limited Partnership c/o Day-Lum Rentals and Management Inc. <br /> for a four(4) year and eleven (11) month lease with no additional option lease for the American Job Center <br /> Hawai'i's One-Stop-Shap. <br /> Anticipated monthly rent shall be $7,029 plus GET with 5% annual increases. <br /> i <br /> New location is 88 Kanoelehua Avenue, Suite A-204, Hilo, Hawaii 96720; consisting of approximately 4,686 <br /> square feet more or less of office space. <br /> Request to waive Finance Committee due to time constraints and five (5) day holdover. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Research and Development request to lease the premise consisting of 4,686 square feet <br /> more or less owned by WKSP Limited Partnership c/o Day-Lum Rentals and Management Inc. for office <br /> space in Hilo, Hawaii. The proposed lease is for four(4) years and eleven (11) months with no additional <br /> option for lease for the American Job Center Hawai`i's One-Stop-Shop. <br /> Anticipated rent shall be $7,029 plus GET wth 5% annual increases. <br /> Current location has insufficient amount of office space to provide space for all partners of the American Job <br /> Center Hawaii to provide workforce development services to Hawaii Island community members. This new <br /> lease will provide adequate space for all partners and provide a One-Stop-Shop for workforce development <br /> initiatives.
