October 25, 2022, HSAC Meeting agenda Page 9 SptEAs°a
couaz`
CM Waters: How are we going to bind the next board when we do not
know who the people will be.
CM Kimball: In order to notice the next meeting properly we will have to have the
officers in.
CM Chock:December is when it needs to happen.
CM Kimball: We will need to have the slate approved in December so it can be
approved by the counties in January. We have to have the resolutions by the 15th for
the next meeting.
CM King: January 3rd is when the new councilmembers are sworn in. Noon when
the Mayor and councilmembers will take over. I did try to propose a charter
amendment for the other dates.
CM Chock:December 2 is our date.
CM King. The Chair may propose who they want to be on HSAC. Assuming the
alternate CM Tamara Paltin will be the nominee and the alternate will be CM Shane
Sinenci, the decision is part of the organization process and will not get voted on
until January. To me the succession should be to which counties get which positions.
CM Kimball: May not be official, but should have a good idea of who the members
will be.
CM King.May take until January to confirm these positions.
CM Paltin: Looking forward to it and ready, willing, and able. Would like to
continue to try to focus in on passing legislative items and continue progress in
codifying how the annual HSAC conference is done. Trying to get the counties
involved in the HSAC legislative process.
CM Kierkiewicz: Do not want to serve in secretary capacity or treasurer, otherwise
open. Think it is appropriate as currently serve as NACo representative on steering
committees. We should organize sooner than later.
CM Chock: We will form some options on our side and then circulate them.
