No. 23-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 2:40 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution No. 23-23, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 23-23, transmitted by Council Member Heather L. Kimball, via Communication No. 24 <br /> dated November 18, 2022, awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation <br /> Maintenance Fund Stewardship Grant to P6haha I Ka Lani. <br /> This resolution would approve a grant of$39,710 to P6haha I Ka Lani, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization, to protect, preserve, and restore the Waipi`o Valley Lookout property in Hamakua, (Tax <br /> Map Key 4-8-004-006), pursuant to Section 10-16(h) of the Hawaii County Charter. <br /> Department of Finance Property Management Technician Maxine Cutler was available to answer <br /> questions and spoke highly in favor of this stewardship grant to the nonprofit.
