Each county pays for these items and arranges for them to <br /> be delivered to the hotel by Feb 11, 2022. <br /> VI. OLD BUSINESS <br /> a. Discussion and consideration of the HSAC Executive Committee slate <br /> of officers for the term beginning January 1, 2023. <br /> ED Parsons: Proposed slate: President Carvalho, Vice President Paltin, Secretary <br /> Waters, Treasurer Kimball. <br /> CM Carvalho: Motion moved and seconded, no objections. Approved. <br /> b. 2022 HSAC Conference Report. <br /> CM Kagiwwada: Had 213 participants. The main funding streams for the conference <br /> were registration fees and sponsorships and this year we added a Golf Tournament <br /> Fundraiser. Registration fees collected were $86,697 and we raised $86,000 in <br /> sponsorships, of which $25,000 was an .Innovation Grant provided by the <br /> Hawai`i County Research and Development Department. These together with <br /> $40,509 raised by the golf tournament brought our total gross income to $214,206. <br /> The largest expense for this conference was the food and beverage costs at $80,320 <br /> followed by $11,875 for the Golf Tournament, with the total expenses totaling <br /> $127,859. The net income from the 2022 HSAC Conference is expected to be slightly <br /> over $50,000. <br />
