No. 214/Res. No. 118-23 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 118-23, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 118-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 214 <br />dated March 30, 2023, creates one new Waster Safety Officer V and one new Clerk III position for the <br />Hawaii County Fire Department. <br />This resolution establishes positions to support the Fire Department's Ocean Safety Operations Branch. <br />Committee Member Holeka Goro Inaba noted that this position is State -funded and asked whether the <br />department created this position in anticipation of continued funding. Fire Chief Kazuo Todd confirmed <br />that this is the case.
