No. 292/Res.No. 177-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 6:10 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo,Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 177-23, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 177-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 292 <br /> dated April 28, 2023, authorizes the Mayor to enter into a multi-year agreement with the Office the <br /> Auditor, State of Hawaii. <br /> This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year agreement which would allow the County <br /> to request an audit of the schedule of changes in fiduciary net positions by employer including related <br /> notes to the schedule of the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund and report on census <br /> data to meet the reporting requirements under the Governmental Accounting Standards board. <br /> Finance Director Deanna Sako provided some background. <br /> Committee Member Jenn Kagiwada expressed that she would like the Auditor's Office to be mindful of <br /> their use of plastics, as the report received by the committee had a plastic cover. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes,the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to <br /> execute, on behalf of the County,this and all future agreements and related documents with the Office <br /> of the Auditor, State of Hawaii. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 177-23, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> 1kh <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> EVANS X <br /> GALIMBA X COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> INABA X <br /> KAGIWADA X -� <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X MATT KANI`I- EINFELDER, <br /> KIMBALL X CHAIR <br /> LEE LOY X FC REPORT NO.: 54 <br /> VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: JUN 0 7 2023 <br />
