COUNTY OF HAWAII .o STATS OF IIAWAII <br /> >e OF.a}� <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION I I T <br /> FOUNDATIONAWARD OF $200,000 FROM HAWAI'l COMMUNITY <br /> TO SUPPORT FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has been selected to receive a <br /> $200,000 grant award from Hawaii Community Foundation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support no-cost financial and <br /> ownership counseling provided by a certified U.S. Department of Housing and <br /> Urban Development counseling service provider; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations <br /> of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in <br /> real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property <br /> which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may <br /> be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development <br /> recommends the acceptance of this grant award; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that in accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the <br /> Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this grant award. <br />
