STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> 1Tf OF OF. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 236 23 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR MULTI-YEAR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS FOR THE <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts to deliver the recovery efforts from the 2018 Kilauea <br /> Eruption; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts, for the following positions: Recovery Officer; Recovery and <br /> Redevelopment Manager; Recovery and Redevelopment Assistant; Disaster <br /> Recovery Communications Specialist; Disaster Recovery Program Coordinator; <br /> Manager.for Disaster Recovery Community Engagement and Collaboration; <br /> CDBG-MIT Project Specialist; and <br /> WHEREAS, these employment contracts will be executed for four years; and <br /> WHEREAS, these employment contracts will be funded with disaster <br /> recovery sources available to the County; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year <br /> employment contracts as indicated above, for the Planning <br /> Department. <br />
