BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Honolulu Fire department has graciously donated three of their engines to the Hawaii Fire.Department. <br /> The three engines area-welcomed asset and will be immediately utilized in the reserve fleet of engines. <br /> Currently HFD has no spare apparatus. Our vehicle maintenance section works tirelessly to service and <br /> maintain our fleet but circumstances outside of their control often hamper getting our vehicles back into <br /> service. With the addition of the three donated vehicles HFD will be better equipped to safely serve our <br /> island residents and visitors.
