COUNTY OF 11AWAN <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAN <br />BILL NO. 95 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24- <br />280, SCMDULE 28 OF THE IIAWAVI COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION), <br />RELATING TO NO PARKING AT ANWIMFUPON CERTAIN STREETS OR <br />PORTIONS OF STREETS. <br />13E IT ORDAINED BV THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. ']'he purpose of this ordinance is to: (1) prohibit parking alongside a <br />certain section of Old Marnalahoa Highway at a blind turn that fronts the Dc Luz Quarry and is <br />adjacent to an exposed lava tube, as illustrated in the attached Exhibit "A"; and (2) to facilitate <br />traftic flow within the narrow winding road without sight obstructions. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280.1 Schedule 28, entitled <br />"No parking at anytime," subsection '*(a) Harn5kLia," of the I lawn `i County (-"ode 1983 (2016 <br />edition), is amended by ng <br />adding new listings to be appropriately inserted and to read as follows: <br />Z__ t_1 <br />• Old Man-ialahoa Highway (Route 222), beginning from 33.7 miles cast of the northwest <br />junction to Highway 19 and extending one thousand five- h,uii'drcd-and .nine -feet -ln-the <br />easterly direction on both sides of the roadway. <br />SECTION 3. New material., as depicted in Section 2 is underscored. In printing this <br />ordinance, the underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. Ifany provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or cirCUrnstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br />application, and to this end of the provisions of this ordinance are severable. <br />SECTION S. This ordinance shall take effect Upon its approval. <br />
