COUNTY OF.....VAI'I OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNIl . __VELOPMENT EXHIBIT A <br />A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />PRODUCTION PROGRAM <br />JULY 2022 TO MARCH 2023 <br />• OHCD Researched affordable housing programs <br />• Coordinated with other Counties regarding similar <br />affordable housing programs. <br />• Developed Administrative Rules for the AHP Program. <br />• Developed an electronic application system for <br />proposal submissions. <br />APRIL 2023 <br />• OHCD set its goals and priorities for <br />this funding round. <br />• Administrative Rules providing the framework for <br />administering the AHP Program were finalized and <br />approved effective April 9, 2023. <br />MAY TO JULY 2023 <br />• OHCD provided technical assistance to applicants. <br />• The Request for Proposals period closed on July 31, 2023. <br />SEPTEMBER 2023 <br />The Selection Committee finalized its rating and provided <br />their recommendations to the Housing Administrator. <br />JUNE 2022 <br />• Council passed Bill 160 to create an Affordable Housing <br />Production (AHP) Program to appropriate at least <br />$5,000,000 per year for the Office of Housing and <br />Community Development (OHCD) to facilitate programs <br />that support affordable housing production. Bill 160 was <br />signed into law as Ordinance 22-77 on June 29, 2022. <br />I MARCH 2023 <br />• OHCD held two public meetings to hear the <br />community's views and comments on the needs for <br />affordable housing. <br />MAY 2023 <br />• Request for Proposals was issued on May 1, 2023, <br />for FY2022-23 and FY2023-24 AHP funds. <br />AUGUST 2023 <br />• Selection Committee reviewed, ranked, and rated <br />proposals. <br />• Clarified information and conducted site visits. <br />OCTOBER 2023 <br />• Final Approval from the Mayor. <br />EQUAL HOUSING <br />OPPORTUNITY <br />
